Permit Renewal / Replacement
Renewal
The Division does not have statutory authority to renew a graduated Level 1 or Level 2 issuance. These issuances expire on the applicant's 18th birthday. Within one year of the expiration date, the holder of a Level 1 or Level 2 may appear before their local Driver License Examiner and apply for a learner permit or driver license, whichever is applicable.
Replacement
If your license is lost or stolen, go to the nearest Driver License Office and apply for a duplicate. To replace a lost or stolen license, you must show the examiner two documents of identification (see Chapter 1 of the Driver's Handbook) approved by the DMV.
