Tools in the XYZ Text toolbox allow you to import, export and label coordinate points in either 2D or 3D design files.

Label Point Coordinates
The Label Point Tool is used to label coordinates in a MicroStation Design file by snapping to a point. The user can define how the label appears by using the following settings:
Coordinate Order
Units
Accuracy (Decimal Round-off)
Separator for Coordinates
View (3-D only)
Prefixes for Coordinates
The Text tool defines the text symbology.
Label Element Coordinates
 The Label Element Tool is used to label coordinates on each end of an element. The user can label a Single element, all elements inside a Fence or All elements. The user can define how the label appears by using the following settings:
Coordinate Order
Units
Accuracy (Decimal Round-off)
Separator for Coordinates
View (3-D only)
Prefixes for Coordinates
Export Coordinates
 The Export Coordinates tool allows the user to export coordinates of elements to an ASCII text file. The user specifies the Filename. If the file already exists, the user can Append or Overwrite. The user must also specify the following settings:
Order
Format
Accuracy
Separator
View
Prefix
Suffix
Point # (If toggled on, coordinates will be labeled in the file.)
The user can extract a Single element, elements in a Fence, or All elements.
Import Coordinates
 The Import Coordinates tool allows the user to import coordinates from an ASCII text file and place them as points, text or cells in the design file.
The user must specify the following:
Import Option: Point, Text or Cell
Order
View
Text
The text symbology is the current text settings.

This set of tools is used to simplify and standardize the placement of title text, detail, section, material callout markers, and leaders.
