Mark Paxton Mark C. Paxton - Chief Information Officer

Mark joined DOT in August 2003, as NCDOT’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). Prior to joining the state, Mark has been CIO for TV Guide and VP of Technology for its parent company Gemstar TV Guide, CIO for The Body Shop, and CIO for Crown Books.

Mark has worked in several different industries, including retail, commercial software products, consulting, education, manufacturing, and publishing. Mark has held positions as a Computer Operator, Programmer, Systems Analyst, Project Manager, Director of Applications, and CIO, and worked for Com-Share, Kmart, Frank’s Nursery & Crafts, Compuware, Crown Books, The Body Shop, and Gemstar TV Guide.
