Replacing Licenses

The usual fee for replacing a lost or damaged North Carolina driver license is $10.

If your North Carolina driver license shows signs of rapid deterioration or fading, take it to the Driver License Office near you to find out if you are eligible for a free replacement license. If your license is deteriorating prematurely, and no other changes or renewals are needed, it will be replaced at no cost to you.
