| Reference Standard No. : 846.01 |
| Required Definition Files: standard and cc_defs |
| Summary |
| The curbing criteria file is currently capable of drawing ten different configurations of curbs and/or gutters. The type of curb to be used is specified via defined variable. The designer has the option of placing curb and/or gutter on the edge of pavement or at a shoulder point. Also definable, are the depth of base under the curb and the width of berm to be placed behind the curb. |
| For curb/gutter type names and numbers, see See Curb/Gutter Table |
| User Defined Variables |
| "CC01 CURB TYPE"
Define as the desired curb/gutter type number. See Curb/Gutter Table Note: When using type 8 curb (Shoulder Berm) adjacent to guardrail, the Berm Width must be defined as 0. Default definition = 1. |
| "CC01 BERM WIDTH"
Define as the desired width of the berm behind the curb. Note: When using type 8 curb (Shoulder Berm) adjacent to guardrail, the Berm Width must be defined as 0. |
| "CC01 BERM SLOPE"
Define as the desired slope of the berm. Units = ft/ft. Default definition = 0.02. |
| "CC01 BASE DEPTH"
Define as the depth of the base course underneath the curb. Define as zero if no base is required. |
| "CC01 USE CHANNEL CURB"
When utilizing channelization curbing criteria subsequent to the CC, define this variable as non-zero. The CC criteria will test for existence of the curb origin element at each station. When the curb origin element is found to exist, CC will leave the appropriate portions of the typical section un-drawn, to be finished by the channelization criteria. Also, when the curb origin element is not found to exist at a station, CC will draw the entire section normally. Default definition = 0. |
| "CHANNEL ORIGIN"
This variable is defined via a DEFINE_DGN statement, and specifies the symbology of elements in a plan view graphics design file representing the desired horizontal location of origin of the channelization curbing. CHANNEL ORIGIN is a global type variable. There are no corresponding local versions. |
| The following variables are local versions of global variables. They define standard level/symbology values that should usually remain static. These variables are listed here for documentation and thereby make them available for pre-definition over-rides. |
