Overview
A median criteria is employed to close or fill the median gap between two shape clusters. The median may be ditch slopes, curbed islands or a barrier wall configuration. To accommodate these different possibilities for medians, median criteria is provided in three separate types.
Though each median criteria type has it's own configurations and defined variables, all median criteria shares the same inclusion sequence. The same median criteria must be included on both sides of the proposed median; first on the left side of the median, or right side of the left shape cluster, and then on the right side of the median, or left side of the right shape cluster. Shoulder criteria may or may not precede each inclusion of median criteria, depending on the median configuration.
