The US 64 corridor study area begins at the US 64 Business/US 64 Bypass Interchange, east of Pittsboro (Chatham County) and extends east to the US 1/US 64 interchange in Cary (Wake County). The study area is approximately 19 miles in length, which includes 2 miles across Jordan Lake, and is approximately 1000 feet on each side of US 64. The study area also includes a segment of US 1 at the east end of the corridor for potential modifications to the US 1/US 64 interchange.
