Air Conditioner Lines
We have been advised of problems relating to the routing of air conditioner lines on 1997, 1998, and 1999 KODIAK Trucks. (class codes 0205, 0206, & 0209)
Listed below are problems you might find with your trucks as well as photos showing the location of the problem area. Click the images for full screen view.
A. The metal a/c high pressure line from the a/c compressor to the condenser, along with the metal line from the condenser to the dryer are rubbing together.
B. The same line listed in A., which runs from the compressor to the condenser is rubbing against the aluminum turbo booster tube causing damage to the A/C line as well as the booster tube.
C. The suction hose that runs from the compressor to the evaporator is rubbing the snap-in engine access panel and also could be making contact with the right front brake chamber.
