The objective of the backhoe roadeo is to put all 3 golf balls in the 3 pipes in as little time as possible. There are two 6" pipes and one 3" pipe that are mounted to a wood base and filled with sand 2" from the top. The golf balls are first placed in a sandbox and the backhoe operator uses a spoon attached to the end of the bucket to pick up the golf balls and place them inside the pipes. This was the first year of this event in Division 12 and it was a huge success. |
