Operations
The primary purpose of the Bituminous Unit is to provide surfacing of secondary construction projects and resurfacing of existing roads throughout the eight counties of Division Two. The unit performs functions such as rubberized crack sealing, milling operations and spot grinding on bituminous surfaces, necessary repairs to roads under resurfacing contracts, and other paving operations as requested within the eight counties of Division Two. The Unit also provides personnel and equipment by serving as a support unit as needed in secondary road maintenance and construction. The Division Bituminous Unit performs duties in a way that promotes safety for all employees and the traveling public.
