Fleet Support

The Division of Highways / Department of Transportation / Equipment and Inventory Control Unit / Fleet Support section provides assistance to the fifteen (15) Divisions in insuring that all equipment purchased for field use is servicable and safe for our forces.   Fleet Support purchases all shop equipment for our repair facilities and assists in maintaining the shops.   We also assist with warranty problems, equipment failures, proper tire use / repair, proper lube techniques, proper filtering techniques, and any other problems encountered on the equipment.

Fleet Support handles the sale of surplus equipment through State Surplus Property (sealed bids) and disposal of surplus equipment to towns, municipalities, and other non-profit organizations, thus saving the State large amounts of revenue.

Operator training on new equipment is also handled in this section.  Training sessions are set up statewide for technicians and operators of equipment.   A library of training videos is maintained in this section for use by all divisions when needed.

A major part of Fleet support is the statewide Automated Fuel System.  The Fleet Support area is responsible for installation and maintenance of this system.

The first is a Word document which can be downloaded, completed, printed and three (3) copies sent by the Division to the Fleet Support Manager.

The second is a form which can be completed on the web site, printed, and three (3) copies will automatically be sent to Fleet Support Section when submitted.

The second is a form which can be completed on the web site, printed, and a copy will automatically be sent to Fleet Support, Peggy Badders, when submitted.

Listed below is the Fleet Equipment Junk Request form in PDF format. This form can be saved to your computer for direct data entry.  Data entry can be started by placing the cursor in the Division Field and continue by using the Tab Key. Once the data is entered, it can be printed and mailed or faxed to Fleet Support, Peggy Badders.
