Review Sample Details
Version 7.1 Changes
- Any time an Acceptance category sample is saved with a technician who is not certified (according to HiCAMS and DOH Vendor system records) at the time the sample was taken, the system will automatically adjust the testing category to Informational. The user will be presented with a pop-up alert and the resident engineer on the contract will receive a notification of the event. Informational samples do not count in the calculations performed for Project Certification.
Version 7.0.1 Changes
- Corrected a problem that caused the system to crash when a sample was in certain statuses and the notebook icon for the Certification Override Comment was clicked.
- Adjusted the system to allow inquiry users to navigate to Pay Adjustment Recommendations that have been created on rejected samples.
Version 6.4 Changes
- Corrected a problem that periodically caused Authorizing Lab to be blanked out when Sample Owner was changed.
- Added an edit to prevent the user from selecting a concrete mix id for a class of concrete that doesn’t match the class of concrete assigned to the sampled material.
- Restored logic to track Create, Submit and Forward actions on Sample History.
Version 6.2 Changes
- Changing the Material or Material Type will now automatically remove any Alternate Ids associated with the sample.
Version 6.1.1 Changes
- Modified the window to allow the Submitted Date and Submitted To fields to be blanked out (if desired) on Samples that were created via Save As functionality from a New or In Transit sample. Removal of the Submitted Date and Submitted To fields on an In Transit sample will still revert the sample status back to New.
- Per user request, restored the Sample ID field to the upper right-hand corner of the window. It also remains in the window title bar.
- Corrected a problem with Save As logic that protected Alternate Ids, preventing users from deleting the ones copied from the original sample. The logic to remove the alternate ids if the Material or Material Type on a Sample is changed was also restored.
Version 6.1 Changes
- Separated the Part portion of Sample/Part into its own column so that sorts/finds can be performed on the field.
- Removed the Sample Card and Color from the window. This information is no longer stored on the Minimum Sampling Guide nor displayed on the Sample.
Version 6.0 Changes
- The window was modified to remove the traditional edit format mask for sample numbers to allow easier entry and correction of sample ids in retrievals throughout the application. Users may type in any sample number and will no longer experience problems with cursor placement when an invalid number is entered.
Version 5.9 Changes
- Samples that contain one or more Alternate Ids that have been linked to a non-Voided Material Receipt may not be Unauthorized. The Links must be removed from the Material Receipt record before the Sample may be Unauthorized.
- The window has been enhanced to allow Asphalt Material Samples that are marked with a Testing Category of 'Informational' to be entered without identifying an Asphalt Mix Design. This is due to a new AASHTO Test Type and an Asphalt Pre-Approval process.
Version 5.5 Changes
- When entering the Producer/Supplier on a Sample, focus will default
to the Search By Plant ID field. The user may enter a known Plant ID
and the System will obtain the corresponding valid Producer/Supplier.
The Approved Producer/Supplier information is available for deletion
by highlighting the data and depressing the Delete key. This feature
is available only when an Approved Producer/Supplier is not required
and the Sample is in the appropriate Status.
Version 5.4 Changes
- The Avail Qty on the sample is now set to zero when the Sample is
Authorized with a Status of Meets Specs . At that time,
the Disposition Accepted Qty defaults to the entire Represented Qty
so there should be nothing left Available.

Quantities now update based on the Disposition information, not the
Sample Status.
