The Special Design Section of Design Services designs and reviews submittals for all lighting systems to be installed on DOT projects. Due to the specialized nature of these systems an inspection of these systems is required by the Special Design Section of Design Services prior to acceptance of these systems.

The Resident Engineer is responsible for scheduling these inspections by contacting either Chris Haire (Special Design Section Engineer) or Jay Stancil (Lighting and Electrical Squad Leader) at 919-250-4128. These inspections should be scheduled at least two weeks prior to the requested inspection date.
