In November 1999, the Department placed a provision titled "Reporting Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation" in all contracts. This provision instructed prime contractors to report all payments to DBE subcontractors to the Department. Beginning April 1, 2002, we will be implementing an internet based DBE Payment Tracking System to facilitate the compilation of this information. This system allows the Resident Engineer's office to confirm DBE payments based on information supplied by you. The initial input will be the responsibility of the prime contractor. With periodic checks of the system, the Resident Engineer will confirm the payment.

 

The System can be found by clicking on the "Doing Business with NCDOT" button located on the Department of Transportation's home page. Then click on the "Disadvantaged/Minority/Women Business Directory" drop down menu, then "DBE Payment Tracking System". The first page of the system has a "user's guide" button located underneath the address box for the Construction Unit. This guide will assist you with accesses and operating the system.
