Thanks for visiting the Maintenance Management System Web site. This Web site was created to help you find all of the information you need to understand what the Visual/MMSä is all about. 

AgileAssets, Incorporated (AAI) was selected to install and implement their Visual/MMSä software. The AAI - NCDOT project team worked out of the project office located at 3200 Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh, North Carolina. 

Visual/MMS provides NCDOT with the methodology and computer tools necessary to plan, organize, direct and control maintenance field operations. Software installation and training was completed in March, 2004.

Project Milestones

• October 2001 - Project office open and the Visual/MMSä work ramps up. 
• December 2001 to January 2002 - TRDI performed onsite interviews with DOT personnel located throughout the state. 
• February 2002 to March 2002 - Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) orientation and work sessions completed. 
• April 2002 to May 2003 - Software customized to be compatible with NCDOT, Operations business practices and to interface with BSIP and GIS. Completed.
• May 2003 to June 2003 - Pilot Divisions 3 and 9 personnel trained on the use of Visual MMS. Completed.
• July 2003 to August 2003 - Since completion of the Pilot Program, Divisions 3 and 9 have been using the live MMS Software.
• Statewide training started October 2003 and was completed in March 2004.

To improve the Department of Transportation maintenance management processes and information. This will be done through the successful implementation and long-term support of a Visual/MMSä software application
