Monarch Butterfly in North Carolina We plan to monitor the milkweed beds and work in conjunction with the joint university program to track their success. If successful we can incorporate these plants into more habitat plots and wildflower beds. We hope to see an increase in the number of Monarchs in North Carolina as they are not as common as they once were, but they are beautiful - or - to quote Robert Frost, "These are flowers that fly."
