The Compliance and Assurance Section of the Materials and Tests Unit has the responsibility of ensuring that the specified materials utilized on NCDOT projects have the appropriate certifications, test reports or other required information necessary to certify the materials.

This section also ensures that the technicians performing tests and taking samples, the results of which are used to determine the quality of the materials utilized by the department remain proficient in performing these responsibilities.
