HiCAMS M&T FAQs
1. WILL HiCAMS VERSION 6.1 AND DOH VENDOR VERSION 3.8 WORK IN WINDOWS 95 AND 98?
Computers with Windows 95 and Windows 98 will no longer be able to use the software or have the upgraded versions installed. HiCAMS 6.1 and DOH Vendor 3.8 will only be operable on computers with Windows 2000 and higher installed on them.
2. Each component is received individually.
The Contract Line Item for Structural Steel will include the 5 items.
- Structrual Steel - English/Metric - The quanitities will be listed on the line item of the contact. For Example "Approx... LBS Structural Steel - 796,000 LBS.
- Bolts, High Strength - Both - The quantities will be listed for each structure on the shop drawings which the Resident Engineer gets.
- Nuts - Both - The quantities will be listed for each structure on the shop drawings with the Resident Engineer gets.
- Washers - Both - The quantities will be listed for each structure on the shop drawings which the Resident Engineer gets.
- Direct Tension Indicators - The quantities will be listed for each structure on the shop drawings which the Resident Engineer gets.
It should be noted that if there are multiple structures there will be approved shop drawing for each. The total number will be the sum of each structure. There is a Bill Of Materials that list the bolts, nuts,washers and DTI's for each structure. If all the shop drawings are not provided at once, then the Conversion factor will have to be updated as they are received or paid for.
Since the line item is a lump sum item the conversion factor will be the actual number of bolts, nuts etc. (It should be a large number.)
3. TEST FORMATS: AEMicroDeval and AMMicroDeval CONVERTING TEXT INTO DATE FORMAT WHEN ENTERING LAB NUMBER
Field is converting "07-083" to "7/1/1983". There is an issue with Excel/FormulaOne software that cannot be overcome. User must use the work around provided.
WORKAROUND:
- Enter a dot (.) at the end of the lab number (07-083.) to prevent the conversion, or type '07-083 and it will show the lab number without the apostrophe at the beginning.
