Special Considerations

  1. There may be instances where basic information on the survey form is incorrect or a new or partial section needs to be identified.

    1. In situations where only the descriptive data for a section needs to be corrected, e.g. section length or pavement type, simply mark one line through the incorrect data and write the correct data directly above.

    2. For a newly constructed road or a section not previously surveyed, the green "Pavement Condition Survey Form for Flexible Pavements" will need to be filled out and turned in with the other forms. Instructions for filling out this form are in the chapter on filling out the form.

    3. If sections need to be deleted from the inventory, such as extension of city limits with road becoming responsibility of city, mark one line completely through the existing section on the computer form, and write directly above it DELETE.

    4. There may be instances where an existing section needs to be broken into two (or more) sections because of a pavement width or type change.

The original section should be changed to describe one of the new sections. The remaining section(s) should be entered on a new survey form. Be sure that the total of the lengths of the new sections are equal to the length of the original.
