The Alternative Contracts Section is dedicated to the investigation and implementation of
contracting techniques that can expedite project delivery. Nested design build, best value
procurement, accelerated construction techniques, and emergency contracting are all examples
of potential means to enhance delivery.
The section is also responsible for constructability review of complex projects, the
identification of projects appropriate for accelerated construction schedules and
techniques, and the post-construction assessment of projects.
