| Since the 1920's, Location and Surveys
has been providing services to the N.C. Department of Transportation utilizing
state-of-the art equipment and technology. The Unit's name, methods and procedures have
changed, but the unit's reputation for precision and accuracy in field surveys and
investigations has been constant. The Location and Surveys Unit is one of five Highway Design
Branch units. The Unit performs route location surveys and obtains engineering data
needed for project mapping and development in the construction of highways and bridges in
North Carolina. |
