| Configuring the Bluecap to connect to a 5800 receiver |
| 1. | Switch on the 5800 receiver and TSCe controller w/ Bluecap. | |
| 2. | From the Windows Control Panel, select Bluetooth device properties and make sure that the " Enable Bluetooth" check box is selected. | |

| 2a. | When the Enable Bluetooth option is selected you will see the following: | |
|
| 2b. | Simply press "OK" | |
| 3. | Tap the Scan softkey to locate the 5800 receiver. Your screen should look similar to the following: | |
|
| 3a. | In the above screen two Bluetooth devices were found. The first is another TSCe with a Bluecap device, the second a 5800 receiver with Serial Number 4249116235. Select the 5800 and press the button to move it to the trusted column. When asked to authenticate the device select "No". | |

| 3b. | You should then see the 5800 placed in the trusted column. Press "OK". | |
|
| 4. | Start Trimble Survey Controller and select Configuration / Controller / Bluetooth from the main menu. | |

| 5. | This will bring up the following screen. As you see Survey Controller version 10.7 can talk to multiple Bluetooth devices. | |

| 6. | Under Connect to GPS receiver: Select the 5800 that you scanned for previously and press "Accept" | |

| 7. | Trimble Survey Controller should now connect to the receiver using Bluetooth. | |
