Instructions for loading files from ActiveSync to TSCe


            To use Microsoft ActiveSync, you must first download and install it to your computer. It can be found at: http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/activesync36.asp

            After completing the installation process, proceed with the following steps:

1. Connect the TSCe to the office computer. (Com2 on TSCE using a Null Modem cable)

2. Double click the ActiveSync icon on your PC.

            The following menu will appear on your PC



            Next Click on FILE and then GET CONNECTED  The Menu below will appear on the PC monitor



3. Click CANCEL

4. Follow the instructions on your TSCe as seen below:

            A prompt message will appear on the TSCe " Cable detected "
            " Connect to desktop ? " Click YES on the TSCe.

            This will invoke the "Set Up a Partnership" on your PC.
            Now go back to your PC and proceed with the next step

5. Select NO and click NEXT on "New Partnership menu" ( PC )



            Now your PC & TSCe are ready for data transfer. As you see you are connected as a Guest.

6. From the menus below Click on FILE then EXPLORER to access the TSCe.



7. All files that you will load to be associated with Survey Controller will be placed in the Disk folder under Trimble Data.

            To stop communications between the TSCE & PC.
            Just unplug the cable from the TSCe and CLOSE ActiveSync on your PC.

8. Trimble Data Transfer can also be operated through Activesync using the "Survey Controller on Activesync" option.
