The function of the Photogrammetry Unit is to
acquire aerial photography and produce digital spatial
information products used for transportation planning
design, construction, and maintenance. The
Photogrammetry Unit uses the latest in scientific
and technological advances to obtain reliable
information on the environment by recording,
interpreting, and measuring aerial photographic
imagery. Besides providing a variety of digital image
based products, the unit also produces planimetric
and topographic maps, base plan sheets, digital
terrain models, cross-sections, and earthwork quantities.
