Roadway
CADD Project Log System
PURPOSE:
Through
the life of a TIP project in Roadway Design, key project information
and original data are constantly changing as electronic files
are being transmitted to and received from other NCDOT Units.
A system to record and organize pertinent project data and Roadway
CADD structure is warranted. The Roadway CADD Project Log System
is recommended to maintain a level of data organization and efficiency.

PROCEDURE:
It
is recommended that a snap shot of the TIP project design data
and Roadway CADD structure be taken at the following phases of
plans production:
- Functional/Preliminary
(Hearing Maps Stage)
- Hydraulic
Design (Before plans are sent to Hydro.)
- Right
of Way Plans (After Hydraulic Plans and Before field
inspections)
- Final/Letting
(Finalized set of plans after field inspection meetings)

All CADD Project Log Sheets are
to be saved to the R:\Roadway\Doc folder.
It is recommended that all COGO points, chains, and profiles output be performed at the same
time as GPK DATA are being recorded. See GPK
Conventions and COGO Guideline for further details.

This spreadsheet contains three (3) worksheets. One for GPK data, one for Design File data, and one for
CADD Project Log data.
