A
new file naming convention is to be implemented on all new
projects starting after 2/22/02. This naming convention is
for all DOT users and Engineering Consultant firms who produce
TIP plans.
Because
of the following conflict that has occurred with other applications,
all design files will have the extension of DGN: This is the
Bentley assigned extension.
The
following is the format for new files: (TIP Number)_(Unit Abbreviation)_(File Type)_(Description).(extension)
Where:
TIP
Number is the Transportation Improvement Program assigned
number.

Abbreviation is the assigned Unit Code.
File

convention.
(Optional)

(If a date is used, the format is year, month, day. A date
of 010424 would be April 24,2001)
