End bent foundation consists of 12" prestressed concrete piles and permanent marine-grade sheet piling.
Non-standard Galvanized 2 bar tubular rail used.
Observations and Points of Discussion:
Reinforced approach fill slab drains were under or very near to the water, and do not appear be very effective.
Crumbling asphalt and nails protruding from the timber deck of the existing bridge raised questions regarding the contractors obligations to maintain detour bridges.
