Jacksonville Urban Area
Metropolitan Planning Organization
The Jacksonville Urban Area includes
all incorporate areas of the City of Jacksonville and portions of
Onslow County (2000 Census Population 103,954). The City of
Jacksonville is designated as the Lead Planning Agency (LPA) for the
Jacksonville Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and is
responsible for transportation planning within the Jacksonville
Urban Area boundary.
