Oversight Team
A Study Oversight Team (i.e., Steering Committee) has been created to provide guidance and
oversight to the study. Team members will include representatives from the
Capital Area MPO,
Kerr-Tar RPO,
City of Raleigh,
Town of Wake Forest,
Town of Youngsville,
Franklin County,
Wake County,
TTA, and
NCDOT.
The Study Oversight Team will review the consultant's work,
give direction and input, and monitor the project study as it takes place. The consultant
may be asked to attend one or more of these meetings.
The Study Oversight Team will keep officials of the Capital Area MPO and Kerr-Tar RPO
Transportation Advisory Committees apprised of progress throughout the duration of the
contract by giving up-to-date presentations. The consultant may also be asked to attend
one or more of the Transportation Advisory Committee meetings for the Capital Area MPO
and Kerr-Tar RPO.
The study process will begin by clearly defining multi-modal transportation alternatives so
that a unified vision of community design and infrastructure, land development changes and
transportation improvements within the US 1 study corridor can be developed.
The US 1 Corridor Study Oversight Team will be the guiding force for this project. These
members will determine land use and transportation improvement options for the US 1 corridor
that should be advanced for further study.
