A first round of presentations about the US 64-NC 49 Corridor Study was given in 2004 at selected local government or other committee meetings along the study corridor. These presentations consisted of a PowerPoint slideshow followed by a question and answer session. The presentation focused on elements to be undertaken as NCDOT and its partners develop the vision for the US 64-NC 49 Corridor.

During this first round, outreach presentations were given to the following groups: Chatham County Commissioners, Mecklenburg-Union County MPO, Piedmont Triad RPO, Davie County Commissioners, Apex Town Council, Cabarrus-Rowan MPO, Triangle Area RPO Northwest Piedmont RPO, Rocky River RPO, and Siler City Town Council.

A second round of outreach presentations to present the findings of Phase 1 were given to the following groups in 2005: Trangle Area RPO, Chatham County Commissioners, Piedmont Triad RPO, Northwest Piedmont RPO, Cabarrus-Rowan MPO, and Rocky River RPO.
