Community Involvement

Where can I find Information about the Project?

Checking this website is a great way to stay updated on the status of the project.

Three newsletters will be developed as a part of the study. The newsletters will provide information on the status of the project and how you can be involved. Newsletters will be mailed to property owners within 1,600 feet of the US 64 Corridor and will also be posted here in both English and Spanish.

Two sets of community workshops will be held in Apex and Pittsboro. More information about the workshops is provided below.


When will Community Workshops be held?

Two sets of community workshops are planned for this study. At the first set of workshop, the Study Team will share the long-term alternatives, while the second set will focus on short-term improvements and land use strategies. The first set of workshops were held on:

Maps of the alternatives (both hardcopy and on cd) and the US 64-NC 49 Phase I report are available at the Eva Perry Library in Apex and the Pittsboro Memorial Library for viewing.

All comments should be submitted by Friday, June 20, 2008.
