TPB GISDK tools
|
| |
|
| |
We have developed various sets of TransCAD GISDK tools to assist
transportation modeling projects at our Transportation Planning Branch.
There are two versions of the tools at this time. One is a general
version.
The other is customized for the Triangle Regional Model. The
tools will automatically be installed in this directory: "C:\Program Files\TransCAD\myGISDK". |
| |
|
| |
Note: Please archive your master line layer before using the tools!!!
We cannot be held responsible for the data that may be lost while using those tools! |

Click here to download the zip file
that contains the general version of the tools (Jan. 19, 2005 release),
then extract the files and double click on the file “tpbToolsSetup.bat”
to install the tools.

You need to setup the add-ins in TransCAD to run the tool only if this is your first time
using the tool. That is, if you have done the setup
previously, you don't have to do it again for the new
installation. For the setup instructions, click

The TPB GISDK Tools consist of several tool sets as the
following: |
| |
|
| |
-
Data Manager Tool Box provides a user interface for entering
highway attribute data and to provide a data management
system for handling multiple model alternatives. The
advantage of this approach is that all data can be
maintained in one master file. The benefits of such a tool
are reduced user error, increased efficiency in managing
different model alternatives, elimination of duplicate data
reducing the amount of disk space needed for storing model
data, and maintaining consistency of model data through
standardization of data inputs.
|
| |
-
Model Validation Tool provides user with Highway Assignment
Validation. It calculates the difference between the traffic
flow and traffic count divided by the traffic count by
functional class, traffic count and screen line.
|
| |
-
Calculate VMT Tool calculates VMT by functional class.
|
| |
-
Screen Line Overlay Tool fills the Screenline data field in your roads layer with the screen line id of the screen line that crosses the roads links.
|
| |
-
Calculate Screen Line-Summary Tool calculates the total traffic flow, total traffic count and
diffsum% ((total traffic flow - total traffic count)/ total traffic count %) for each screen line, and displays the results
in a dataview table.
|
| |
-
Calculate Screen Line-Details Tool performs screen line calculation
((traffic flow - traffic count)/ traffic count %) for each link that crosses a screen line.

Multi Layer Clipper
(Install) |
| |
|
| |
Multi Layer Clipper is a add-in from Caliper. It
provides you a ability to clip out multi layers based on one
area layer. |
