Duplin County Comprehensive Transportation Plan Study
This plan is a joint planning effort between
Duplin County, the Eastern Carolina RPO and NCDOT.
This plan will represent the first Transportation
Plan for the County. The Plan was initiated in
March, 2006. The data collection and analysis
phase of the process have been completed. Plan
recommendations were reviewed by the County
Transportation Committee on January 25th, at which
time they voted to recommend adoption by the
Commissioners.
Public workshops to allow for citizen review have
been scheduled for the following dates and
locations: February 15th -
Rosehill Town Square
(510 E. Main St), February 22nd -
B.F. Grady School Media Center (2627 N. NC 11 &
903), and February 27th – Duplin County
Cooperative Extension Office (165 Agricultural Dr)
There is no set agenda for the meetings; therefore
citizens are welcome to stop-in at their convenience
anytime during the designated time. Each meeting
will be held from 4:30 to 7:00 PM.
Interested citizens are invited and encouraged to
attend any one of these public workshops, as well as
a public hearing to be held on Monday, March 5th
at 9:30 AM during the Duplin County Commissioner’s
