Jackson County Comprehensive Transportation Plan Study
With the completion of a land use plan by local
staff in Jackson County, work on the
comprehensive transportation plan (CTP) for
Jackson County has resumed. The consultant
firm, Parsons Brinckerhoff was hired to develop
a model of the more urbanized central area of
Jackson County. Areas outside the modeled area
are being analyzed using trend line analysis.
Currently, base year and future year roadway
deficiencies are being determined. In early
Spring, alternatives to improve the roadway
system will begin being tested. Also,
information concerning other modes of
transportation is also being gathered and
reviewed.
