Pamlico County Comprehensive Transportation Plan Study

This plan is a joint effort between Pamlico County, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT),and the Down East Rural Planning Organization (RPO). This study has just begun and is in the initial data collection stage.

This plan shall be based on the best information available including, but not limited to, population, economic conditions, traffic trends and patterns of land development in and around the County.  This plan shall provide for the safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sensitive use of the transportation system while addressing current and future travel needs.
 

A survey is now being conducted on transportation issues. The survey period ends on June 30, 2008.
