The National Transportation Product Evaluation Program (NTPEP) is an American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) service which evaluates products using a formal and detailed work plan.  Various States have taken ownership of conducting product evaluations for specific product categories.  North Carolina Department of Transportation is the lead state for the evaluation of Arrowboards and Portable Changeable Message Signs.  This section of our web site contains the details of these evaluations.  The results of these evaluations can be used by member states in consideration of approval of products for use by their organizations.
