NC DOT Pavement Marking Certification Program
To install pavement marking in North
Carolina, at least one member of every pavement marking crew
working on a project must be certified through the NCDOT Pavement
Marking Technician Certification Process.
Certification is based on the
following criteria:
- Completion of the Pavement Marking
Rodeo Course with a grade of 70 or better on the test.
- Within 30 calendar days of the
Pavement Marking Rodeo test, the submission of a completed
application form (attesting to 2000 hours of installation
and/or inspection by the applicant's supervisor) and a
photocopy of the applicants current driver's license or state
ID.
- Review of the application by the
Review Board.
