The Transportation, Mobility, and Safety Division holds Rodeos
which promote Work Zone Safety and correct Pavement Marking.
The Work Zone Traffic Control Rodeo is a one day training
course. It features hands-on training using NCDOT
specifications and standard drawings focused on the following
subject areas:
- Advance Warning Signs
- Traffic Control Devices
- Positive Work Area Protection (Barrier and Guardrail)
- TMIAs and Crash Cushions

The total number of attendees for the Traffic Control
Work Zone Rodeo will be limited to 200 people per day.
Enrollment will be on a "first come, first serve" basis.
However, we may need to adjust your requested day to balance
registration. Registration for your company or division
may be limited in order to get a good mix of participants.
Note: NCDOT Division personnel should only
register through their Division Training Coordinator.
