This 3-day entry level training class is designed for the first time GEOPAK user who will utilize GEOPAK to complete roadway design projects. The beginner level course follows a typical roadway design workflow and enables the student to design roadway projects upon course completion. Training includes work on an actual TIP project.

1. Project manager, file structure, and GEOPAK naming conventions
2. Coordinate Geometry
3. Design and Computation Manager, Automated quantities, plan labeling
4. Digital terrain modeling: creation, display and analysis
5. Creating existing ground profiles and interactive vertical alignment design
6. Plan and Profile Sheet Layout
7. Existing cross section design
8. Basic Proposed Cross-Sections

Prerequisites:

Microstation Basics For Civil Engineers (COM 132) or Essential Microstation Part 1 and Part 2 (COM 126 & COM 127) with Microstation V8 Update Training (COM 131).
