GIS Data Layers: The DOT GIS Data Layers are a collection of shapefiles generated from out County Map data nad LRS Data.	Contour & Elevation Data: Download contour and elevation data generated from LIght Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) data obtained from the North Carolina Flood Mapping Program (www.ncfloodmaps.com).
1993 Aerial Photography: 1993 - 1 Meter digital orthophotography SID images are available by county.	USGS Topographic Maps: USGS 1:24000-scale Topographic Quadrangle Map SID images are available by county.
1998 Color-IR Images: The NCDOT has merged the 1998 Color-Infrared (IR) Digital Orthophotography Quarter Quadrangles (DOQQ) into image files using a grid of the state. The grid defined by the NCDOT GIS Unit is the GIS Unit\'s attempt at balancing the number of images covering the state and the size of the image files for storage and download.	USGS Topographic Map Images: The NCDOT has merged the USGS 1:24000-scale Topographic Quadrangle Map Images into image files using a grid of the state. FEMA Flood Data: FEMA flood maps have been edited to remove quad lines and communities. Map Units are available in meters or feet. Contact FEMA for additional data. Flood Map data is not available for all N.C. counties at this time. The links below list the counties with available data. More counties will be added in the future.

Digital Bicycle Maps & Route Information: The North Carolina Department of Transportation provides a variety of information on North Carolina bicycle routes online.

The GIS Unit has recently undergone some major changes to better serve our customers. The GIS Unit continues to be dedicated to providing quality geographic information. A new unit has formed, Information Mapping and Graphics Unit (IMG), which is now responsible for providing map publications and CAD products.
