To become certified:

File an application with the Institute of Certified
Professional Managers for an evaluation of your experience and
education. |
| 2. |
Upon, approval of the application, successfully pass
a three-part examination to receive the Certified Manager
designation. |
Our NCDOT Leadership and Management
Development Association (LMDA) organizes and facilitates Group
Study Series to help prepare for each of the three parts of
the exam. These series are monitored and attended by
experienced certified managers. These study groups form two
or three times a year usually beginning in September, January,
and April.
Walt Thompson, CM, is chair of our
Chapter CM Program. He will help with the application process
and give you the opportunity to join a study group.
