Environmental Management Systems: NCDOT Framework
|
The NCDOT Framework has been prepared in compliance with the ISO 14001:2004 model
and can be used to support
the development and maintenance of a complete and effective
EMS. While it is not required that NCDOT Divisions
or Units implement ISO 14001 procedures or become ISO
14001 certified, this EMS system is one of the many tools
the department can use to enhance
our Environmental Stewardship.
This Framework is intended to be a central reference for EMS implementation to promote standardization within NCDOT,
understanding that each
implementing Division or Unit will need to modify these materials somewhat based on their
unique business needs.
