Option A, Do Nothing, proposes making no changes to the US 15/501 and Erwin Road intersection at this time. The pictures below show the intersection as it currently exists.

Information and Analysis for Option A
The traffic situation is projected to worsen if nothing is done to solve the traffic problems at the US 15/501 and Erwin Road intersection. Option A, would not address the increase in traffic congestion and driver commute times projected for this area. Safety will not be improved and idle emissions will increase with increased traffic. Researching: (This may also contribute to a reduction in income for businesses located along this corridor, since getting to these businesses would become increasingly difficult.) Additionally, there would continue to be an absence of facilities for bicyclists and pedestrian crossings adding to safety concerns at this intersection.
