The US 15-501 Corridor Improvements Project (TIP Project No. R-2628) is unfunded in the current Draft Transportation Improvement Program (2007-2013). The environmental study and evaluation of alternatives has been discontinued. At this time, no action is anticipated on the project prior to the
end of 2013.

About the Project...

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is preparing an environmental study to ease traffic congestion and improve safety on US 15-501 from just south of Pittsboro continuing in a northerly direction to the US 64 Bypass in Chatham County .

This website includes information about the project's history, purpose and need of the project, the study process, the project schedule, the project study area and the alternatives under consideration, as well as contact information.
