NCDOT Customer Service Office (we can also be reached at 919.733.3109) The Customer Service Office answers the department's toll free customer service line -- 1-877-DOT-4YOU -- from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Mondays - Fridays, with extended hours as necessary for emergencies. In response to callers, Customer Service fulfills publication requests and answers general transportation inquiries. Detailed questions are referred to the appropriate division and tracked through the Customer Service Office to ensure timely resolution. During a normal week, the Office handles a range of 500 - 1,000 calls.
