Good morning.
It is an honor to be with you today to show our love and appreciation for one of our own-Roscoe Narron.
We are saddened by our great loss-and as we reflect on what Roscoe meant to us, we are reminded of a life that brought honor and pride to his family and DOT.
At DOT, we count each employee as a precious member of an extended family.
So as family, we miss Roscoe-and we mourn alongside his wife Ann, his children, his brother and his sisters.
Whether he came to the rescue of a stranded motorist, or assisted the highway patrol at an accident scene, Roscoe was always prepared-and always willing to help.
His devotion to his job was one of the many things that made him special.
Every day, employees like Roscoe leave their families and risk their lives to provide this state with the safest and most efficient transportation system in the nation.
We owe a debt of gratitude for the sacrifice he made-and for the dedication he had for the department and the citizens he helped.
In honor of his distinguished career with the department, it is my privilege to present Mrs. Narron with our most coveted award-The Road Gang.
(PRESENT ROAD GANG TO MRS. NARRON)
Mrs. Narron, we will always remember Roscoe as our friend and colleague-and will never forget what he meant to the department.
He will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories. And we will continue to hold you-the family-in our hearts and prayers as well.
You can take comfort in being part of our DOT family-and knowing that we loved and cherished Roscoe just as you did.
