Services Offered
One of the main goals for the ITVMU is to provide quality video productions to support NCDOT’s instructional media needs at a fraction of the charge that it would cost NCDOT to produce outside. Our video production editing systems are the same as used by all the major networks in the broadcast industry.

The unit’s television production, animation/graphics workstations, and cameras are totally digital. We offer the following electronic multi-media formats for recording, editing, tape, web design, and internet use:

  • Digital Video
  • Beta-Cam SP
  • Super VHS
  • VHS
  • CD-ROM
  • DVD

The ITVMU facility studio is a state-of-the-art controlled environment. To accommodate your video production needs we specialize in the following:

A standard-definition television (SDTV) signal uses 480 horizontal scan lines of picture information. The more impressive digital format is high-definition television (HDTV), which boasts many more scan lines of picture information -- one uses 720 lines and the other uses 1,080 lines.
