Move It On Over Public Awareness Campaign Sign Unveiling Event June 24, 2004
The "Move It On Over" campaign is an inter-agency effort to inform the public about current laws designed to improve safety for drivers and emergency response personnel on North Carolina highways. Participating agencies include the NC Department of Transportation, NC Department of Crime Control and Public Safety, NC Department of Insurance, US Federal Highway Administration, and the North Carolina Trucking Association.
NC Secretary of Transportation Lyndo Tippett welcomed speakers and guests from these agencies and more to kick off the campaign with the unveiling of two new highway signs (see above).
