Bicycling Events
Whether it’s a bike road race, a bike tour, or mountain biking events, you’ll find information about it in this section. The North Carolina Calendar of Bicycling Events lists rides, races, tours, and other events such as biathlons and triathlons. Here you’ll find contacts for event registration as well as other helpful information.
Of course, we rely on individuals, bike clubs, bike shops, and other organizations across the state to help us keep the calendar up-to-date. If you have an event that needs to be posted, please use the submission form in this section to send the information to us.
Other Events
This section also periodically lists other major regional or statewide bicycling and pedestrian events, especially those sponsored by the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation. These events can include conferences, seminars, workshops, and other events of broad-based interest. Bicycle Racing in North Carolina
Bicycle racing continues to be very popular across the state with many on-road and mountain biking events on the North Carolina Calendar of Bicycling Events. North Carolina law requires special approval for any bicycle races held all or in part on state-maintained roads. Check out the special Bicycle Racing information in this section to learn more about what’s required and how to get a race approved.
