Pedestrian Facility Design Guidelines
In 1995, the Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation initiated the development of design guidelines for pedestrian facilities, entitled Planning and Designing Local Pedestrian Facilities. Similar to those developed for bicycles, these guidelines serve to support pedestrian improvements as localities plan for the walking needs in their communities. Although still in draft form, these guidelines are available to the public and may be ordered at no charge. Click here to order. 5/9/03 |
